Time to make the Donuts!!!!!!

That all too familiar phrase pretty much sums up my new responsibilities at Dunkin' Donuts. However, instead of making the donuts, I'll be baking the bagels, muffins and cookies.

You see, Dunkin' doesn't actually make the donuts anymore. We get them shipped to us from Hartford. First thing in the morning and then second bake comes in a couple hours after that.

Well, last Wednesday i went to D&D to get my paycheck and hours. When i walked in Kerri (my boss) was there. As soon as she saw me she goes "Nick!!!! Just the person i wanted to see."

My initial response of course was "oh, no!" She told me that they've decided that i would be responsible and mature enough to be a baker. I thought about it and said yes. OK, so i didn't actually think about it. She kind of asked me right there and then and i just kind of said yes automatically.

The perks of being a baker,
1. Have a couple hours to myself
2. Pretty much in charge for a while (if manager and assistant manager isn't there)
3. Get out at a decent time and still have the rest of the day off

Downsides to being a baker-
1. Have to be to work by 4am or a little earlier.
2. I'm in charge- anything and everything that goes wrong, i have to deal with
3. If i mess up the baking, i mess up the whole store and potentially sales

SO, yes, i am now another baker at Dunkin Donuts! My first test to see if i can handle the responsibilities (not burn the place down or myself) will be this Sunday.

I'll let you all know how it goes. :)

OMG! I just told my mom what you were doing for a job now and she said these exact words! Then she told me all about the commercial and I started dying. I was like that's so Nicole right now! How funny!
