Yes, I'm Going Back!

Hi everyone! Guess what? I am now officially going back to Eastern Connecticut State University!

As some of you are aware my first year was a disaster, to say the least. There was some debating going on about whether or not i would be returning. However, I decided about a month or two ago that it is in my best interest to go back. I went to the academic advisement center and signed an academic plan. Then i went to register for my classes and unfortunately that is as far as i got. I was told that i didn't have the proper paperwork and i needed a registration code from my advisor and there was a hold on my account. So, i e-mailed my advisor. Within a day she e-mailed me back and we agreed to meet on a Wednesday at 1:30Pm. I was so relieved. I had been stressed out because of this trying to go back to school thing and work. So, when i came home on that Wednesday morning after work i went to bed very relaxed..a little too relaxed. Because i woke up at exactly 1:30. By the time i got dressed and raced to school it was about 2:00. My advisor had left.

I e-mailed her apologizing and explaining why i had missed our appointment. A couple days went by and she responded with giving me her telephone number. A couple more days went by of me trying to call her at her house and office, with no answer. A couple more days went by and she couldn't meet so she asked for my number. Again, with a couple days later and she finally called me yesterday, Thursday August 7 @ 5:00. Woke me up actually because i was sleeping. But i got my registration code and she sent a couple e-mails to two different departments to release the hold on my account so i can register.

Today, i went to the registrar's office to register and guess what? i couldn't. Big surprise. The hold was finally taken off but the classes i was trying to register for were either not available or part of a cluster which i can not take. So, i went upstairs to the academic advisement center and talked with the only advisor not out to lunch. She was a huge help and within an hour i was registered for Fall semester 2008!!

I am taking four classes to ensure that i remain a full time student but don't get overwhelmed. I could not get into the English or health class i need (have to take that second semester) but i was able to get into the math class i need. Some of the graduation requirements i need are history and art. So i ended up taking two art classes (not drawing classes but visual art) that go along with the theatre class i am also taking. Also, i am changing my major. I have decided on a Communication major with a concentration in photography and a minor in theatre! I am so excited!

By the way, this is what my schedule looks like :)
