Vote of No Confidence

Saturday at work Kerri told me that Andover accepted me as their new baker and third shift person. She also told me that a whole bunch of people were jumping on the opportunity because they heard that whoever takes the job will get $11 an hour. Ha! Fat chance people! Since Kerri offered the position to me first and got back to them quickly, i got it! oh yeah!!!

However, i believe market manager Tom isn't as happy. Remember him? A couple posts ago i said that my D&D goes through market managers like they're going out of style. I also said that my first impression was he was kind of annoying but seemed to know what he was doing. Wrongo!!! He has no idea what he is doing since he just came from being a manager of Home Depot and he is the most annoying person in the entire world. I have only had a couple encounters with him but that's enough to drive me crazy. Never mind Kerri and Kat who have to deal with him 24/7. According to Ryan Smith, whenever he is working and they happen to be busy Tom comes and tries to help. Instead he constantly messes up orders and makes things even more complicated.

Well, today he came in like he does every Saturday and says hi to everyone, tries to make small talk and pretends he knows what he is talking about. Today i was on front counter, and he comes in and checks out the donut cases to make sure everything is pushed up, and looks ok. While he was doing this task (which i do every five minutes anyways) he decided to chat with me.

This is how our conversation went as he made no eye contact with me. Just him staring at the Donut cases!

"hi nicole, how are you?"
"Fine, thanks, and you?"
"Good." long awkward and annoying pause.
"I hear you're going to be our third shift person at Andover now."
"Yep." duh!!
"How do you think you'll do?"
"Fine." obviously!
"Have you ever done something like that."
"No."
"It's a big commitment you know." what are you implying?
"Yeah, i know." Another long and annoying pause. oh yeah and more crickets!

"so, Kerri talked to you about the bump in pay right?"
"yeah." dude, she already talked to me about it, you don't need to repeat it.

Then a customer came and the chat ended and he didn't say anything else to me until he left several hours later.

As he was saying goodbye to everyone he said to me;

"goodbye ashley, i mean Nic, now andover nicole." ick, he always calls me ashley. annoying!

Ok, so he's a nice guy and everything but he's not very bright, calls the store every 10 minutes and doesn't know what he's doing. It's just annoying. Oh yeah, and he doesn't think me baking at andover is a good idea. Thanks a lot buddy!
